Going back to Altdorf…I don’t think so!

Well I got into Altdorf for the first time in awhile. I was in an instance 2005….I think the most exciting part was when I laughed at a Black Orc friend of mine. Yeah not that exciting. Cries of Order Bombing one instance went through Region Chat. Then the finger pointing started cause we didn’t make it to Phase 2. It was a learning experience though, and that’s a good thing. The good news is I won some Invader Shoulders…Now if I can only get 10 more levels of Renown.

Some other things I went back to Sword and Board. I have to really go over my armor selections again since Wards are given now, and not dependent on the armor I am wearing there may be a better selection.

I also joined a new Guild…Jaded Souls. I use to run Lost Vale back when LV was new. So it’s good to be one of them, they are a good group of people and know their stuff. Even if they don’t enjoy bathing too much.

I’m just a girl

So as I started up my new Witch Elf, some things got me confused. The starting area is different. Not just the way it looks, but the quests, the tutorials, and no more blighted isle, I’m in Norsca….me a lonely Dark Elf in the middle of Norsca.

Some things I liked…

1. Better quest design, though some of them seem shorter.

2. Better layout of starting area. I had to go back and forth in the original starting area. Seems like that got rid of that.

3. Better placement of the Ancestral documents (Or what ever they were)- First time doing this quest took me forever

4. Tutorials, these are great for starting players.

5. Starting guilds, gets people social fast. I like the idea behind the Advice Channel, but see it devolving real quick.

Things I don’t like.

1. I don’t like the fact that some of the old starting areas will go unused. Such a shame.

2. The quests are a little too easy. Not really a bad thing for a new player, but I feel a little mad. Damn it new players should have to chew the same dirt.

3. How the hell do you turn off the advice channel?

Overall I like the revamp, I think it makes the starting region more fun for the player, and more people means more fun. One more question I have what the hell is HV, someone spamming they need people. Some sort of dungeon for lowbies?

Christmas Sacrifices Upon the Altar of Tzeentch

It seems that the taint of Cowardice is in the air, and while the Order scum beg to their false gods, and those animal Greenskins pray to whatever it is they pray to.  We the servants of Tzeentch take matters in our own hands.  We plot, and scheme. We take the souls required by our Lord to make our plans come to fruition, we do not wait upon the hand outs of our God like the weak southerlings.

Dear True God, Tzeentch 

1. Oh Mighty Tzeentch, We beg for more souls to crush in your name. We beg you for a 3rd Army so that those who have not felt your wrath may do so. Order has proven their weakness time, and time again, we require new souls to bend to your service.

2. Master of Change, We yearn to spread word to the Lands of the Dead more. We feel that the land is unused, and untouched by your corrupted hand.

3.Raven God, May the Renown Points come faster in the future. I have been hard at work gearing our soldiers in the dungeons and need to catch up. So that I may crush our enemies.

4. Oh God of the Raven Host, I beg that you bestow upon your Chosen your continued might so that we may crush your enemies. They already fear us, and beg their pitiful Gods to destroy us, and it feels glorious to be hated.

5. Oh Dark Lord, I will kill many this coming year, so you may bestow upon me greater gifts of armor, and weapons.  So that when they see me upon my dread steed our enemies will know fear!

I can’t kill fast enough

So patch 1.3.3 is out. They nerfed Ravage on us boys. Wait an attack that gets buffed by stats, and proper use of talismans. OMG NO!!!  It was like shooting pool with a piece of yarn last night.  Since Ravage sucks now, I might switch back to uber tank spec, and just take the hits. I got to see what the tank flavor of the month is.

So after the smite cleric nerf…erm…*cough*  I meant the Chosen Ravage Nerf…, I decided to make me a killer.

I decided to make a Witch Elf after seeing this blog, Blog of the Witch.  Story of hunting down straggling Order really made me happy. I decided a new server was in order as well, so I chose Gorefang. A couple reasons this blogging WE is there, and Shadow plays Order there, and it would be awesome to meet him on the field of combat. Especially since he loves those damn KoTBS so much.

I did a few levels, and all I gotta say, DAMN! Things die fast, and I like it.

The more things change…

I log in, and I don’t know hardly anyone. Alot of the players I started WAR with are either long gone, or on alts I don’t even know.

So I did some scenarios. Dear lord I had some fun. PvP in WAR is just the best. I went toe to toe with a KoTBS my arch enemy, and rocked him. I ate some Bright Wizards and that’s always delicious.

Not all was one sided either, those BW’s decided to gang up on yours truly, and blew me out of the water.

Open PvP hasn’t changed at all, it’s still about the Zerg.  I was thinking though of maybe starting an alt. Perhaps a Marauder, or a Choppa. I hear Tier 1 is awesome fun lately. Maybe even on a different server.

I got to say this about Mythic

Their patch days really never go as bad as Blizzards, and I got to put my hats off to that. WoW even after 5 years still has problems on Patch day.

As I see on Twitter all the people complaining about the new WoW patch, I never heard any such cries from the WAR people.

When I reupped my account today 280+MB to download took a few minutes, and I was in game toot sweet.

Good job Mythic, I doff my cap to you.

Once more unto the breach.

So I was reading “Forged by Chaos” by CL Werner, and just reading about Umbraal the Chosen got me hankering for some Chosen Love. 

I reupped this morning, just to see what is up. It was like a ghost town on Iron Rock, but it was early morning. I’ll take a look tonight. But it was good to look around once more. Sad to see I only had 19 gold. Anyone got an gold making tips, or a nice place to farm let me know.

Other then that I look forward to crush some Order scum!

It is done.

Thus I have cancelled my sub, and will be moving on. I always wish WAR the best. I love the lore, and universe, but the game just doesn’t hold any sway over me any more.  This blog will remain open…for now I don’t know what, but I plan on using it for maybe fan fiction, or my journey through Tabletop game if I decide to pick that up. Perhaps hopefully a WAR 40k MMO.

Raven God Calls

I am going South…Not to the Land of the Dead. But to Florida. It’s time for a Change. I’ll be back though with more tales of Chosen Havoc. I will be back Tuesday. So until then May the Raven God Bless You, and May your kills be many!

I still hate Bright Wizards

Last night in scenarios, man I hate these mugs. They are like cockroaches, I kill one, there is two more spamming those damn AOE spells. 

So I see there is some action in Caledor last night. I go to defend our keep so to stop Order from taking the fortress. I look upon a sea of red, at least 40 order people. I look at our meager 3 people defending, and just go. “Oh crap”.

Steamrolled is not the term that applies here. Prison style gangraping is the term i’m looking for.

Back to some more scenarios, more Order rolling over Destro. I decided to log for the day, and walk away a little sore.
