Ok I am no fan of Aion, I think everyone knows that. So when I heard they messed up their launch, with horrible queues and lag. I was pleased as punch.
Is that wrong of me? Well since I am an evil Chosen I don’t think so. I hope all those people get frustrated and come back to WAR. !!
People are jumping ship in my guild for Aion, and it’s kind of sad to me. The hopes and dreams that were WAR are quickly dissipating like a morning fog. The hopes pinned on WAR by all these people that were really hyped up for it. It’s a crying shame, I’m still here though. For how long though I don’t know. It’s pretty sad to play a PvP game if there isn’t anyone to PvP with or against.
It’s going to be a tough storm ahead for WAR. I hope we can weather it.
Sucks things blew up last night, and sometimes these things happen. I don’t blame Mythic at all. Just give me my Chosen “IWIN” button, and it will be alright, or here’s an idea a free day to all paid accounts. Blizz did it before a few times, which I was impressed by.
But make sure if you see the Verizon guy with glasses, punch him right in the face for me….right in the face.
Then again I always been purple. Anyway. I went back to a 2 hander, dps spec last night. I really like it. I went up to Rending Blade is Despair ( I think it’s despair, my brain isn’t working on all cylinders this morning) tree, and up to quake in Discord. Though I’m not gemmed for it. I’m kinda on the fence, do i go for Strength or Toughness. Offense or Defense. I think I’ll be trying Offense. Tactics, are the two in the Despair tree, Crippling strikes, and offensive blows(?) , as well as Focused Offense, and Rugged.
Though in Scenarios last night I was usually the higher end of the Pack, I died a lot faster then usual. I did have some epic kills last night though, and some good old fashioned fun.
I think I’m gonna stick with this spec, and just kill stuff.
On a more personal note, it’s sad alot of people I used to play with don’t, and when I log in there’s only 4 or 5 people on in my guild, and I really have no clue who they are.
Looks like WAR is taking a hit pretty hard from AION, at least it seems that way on the boards. I’ll have to see it pan out but already my own guild leader quit to go onto other pastures, not better.
Time will tell how this will play itself out in WAR, I’m thinking another server merger is going to happen.
I can’t believe it’s been a year of WAR already. Where has the time gone.
I remember such moments as…..
- Starting out as a young Chosen. Doing my first PQ, hearing the wizards voices proclaim they are pulling something through the warp, and it turning out to be a Khorne Daemon.
- Getting my first helmet with the Red Glowy Eyes, making me look the part of the bad ass.
- When I got my first mount.
- The time I jumped through a portal in IC, and ended up in old Cotswold from DAOC.
- A whole bunch of fun moments with the guild, and adventures with comrades long gone.
I also remember all the bloggers that started this adventure of WAR with me, some who are long gone. With all this remembering, and it being a special day. There’s one thing to always remember 9/11, how so many innocents lost their lives that day for opposing idealogies. The day America changed. Take some time to remember this stuff, but as much sadness as there is in Remembering, there is some good, because it gives us hope for the future as well. The promise to build upon the past, towards a better future. A better future for WAR, and for America.

So I went to the mall the yesterday, now I haven’t been to the mall in such a long time…i’m talking years. Alas someone bought me something and it was the wrong size. So I go walking in, Lo and Behold there was a Games Workshop store. I almost knelt in reverence. I go walking in, and there were people playing WAR 40k, and Warhammer. Now I never really played the tabletop version of the game. I love the lore, and read all the books I can on it. I also have played like every video game for it, yes even the crappy one.
So I was looking around, Yes the stuff is pretty pricey. To get started it will probably cost me 100 bucks, and I will have to learn to paint.
But man it looks cool, and these are my people at this store.
Ok I went on a Fortress attack in Reikland yesterday. I got to say though I was really impressed with the better performance. I even forgot to turn off my effects from running Bilerot. It looked smoother, and it wasn’t at all like a slide show. Though the attack failed it gave me encouragement of the future.
So I did a couple scenarios, one of them had a bunch of 30 something Order. It was hilarious. 6 of them took about 3-4 minutes to kill me. While they were trying Destro got a healthy lead. Seriously 6 of them with NO heals, though I was twisting my heal chant, tough chant, and resist chant.
Finally they widdled me down, but by that time we practically won. Ahh it felt good to be the Tank once more.
