On Your Guard

Theres seems to be some very upset folks on Destructions side apparently this has not been fixed. These do stack. Here’s some excerpts from the Test Forums, thanks to Otega from my guild.

Here is the word from upstairs about the OYG ability:

Currently, no damage shields or damage adds are mitigated. Not a bug.
As far as the stacking goes this is as designed. The way our stacking buffs work is “stack largest” so in most other instance of stacking buffs, only the strongest buff is actually applied. Because the OYG ability is a damage shield there is no real “largest” ability to stack so these auras will stack on each other.

Again, thanks for the reports.

I understand your concerns. However I only can comment on what is working as intended and what is a bug. I highly suggest use of the feedback options in game and on the Herald to express any concerns you have with this ability stacking.

So basically Mythic said it’s not a bug. OYG is working as intended.

Damage shield. WTF so you have 6 KoTBS together if your a witch elf, good luck.  I think this is the stupidist ability in the game and should be changed or nerfed.

One word comes to mind…douchebags.

  1. I play Order, and I agree with you. Any and all damage shields should not stack – the most potent should overwrite the others. However, I’m also of the opinion that only the initial attack of a DoT should trigger a damage shield. Otherwise, it discourages certain mastery lines in RvR, and we need variety.

But as they say: if wishes were ponies, we’d all be living in Bolivia eating fried turnips. Or something to that effect.

  2. I see your concern River. I agree to an extent and have my own theories on what should stack and what should not – but I suppose that belongs in my own blog!

    Interesting post though, for sure!
